LDD sale, Freebie MSA Collabs

[Charity Kit giveaway winners in last post]

Little Dreamer Designs store is closing, 50% sale.

After 5 March On the House Freebie from Kay Miller

The following aren't new so check your stash before you download.

(previously a DSA blogtrain freebie)

Freebies from Cinzia

Well I obviously haven't been able to keep up with the blog as I'd hoped! The job turned out pretty ok & Mac adjusted surprisingly well so I decided to work full-time. That's 6 days a week leaving only a couple free hours every night so I've had to let everything else go - kit shopping, blog hopping & even photo-taking. I still try to go through forums & blogs occasionally but it's not enough to keep in touch with all the digi-happenings.

Anyway, on to the purpose of this post, I saw a 50% coupon for Cinzia Loosemore's store (http://www.cinzialoosemore.com) & while doing a quick bit of shopping saw these few freebies in her store & wanted to share.

Have a great weekend!

Charity Kits, Free QPs & chance to win a charity kit

Please read to the bottom if you want a chance to win your choice of the following 2 charity kits.

Image above is linked to 9th & Bloom. It's also available at MScraps.

Copied from MScraps Blog:-
"To help promote the release of our amazing charity collab “Overflow with Beauty”,
the teams of 9th & Bloom and Mscraps have come together to create the most awesome giveaway. A huge selection of “Overflow With Beauty” quickpages are available on our members blogs."

You can start here at the MScraps blog for the freebie QPs.

Another charity collab kit available at Sweet Shoppe. I think it might also be avail at Scrap Orchard but sorry, don't have time now to go check it out.

Been really tight with time the past week with work as I've been working full day. After my first day, I could tell that I won't be able to accomplish much with just a half day esp while I'm just beginning so I decided to do full time weekdays & half-days on Fri & Sat. This means I don't have much spare time at all & I only manage to read a couple of blogs everyday.

I came here mainly to post an offer after seeing the above charity kits today. When I can afford it & the charity is something that touches me, I usually buy but I very seldom download the kit itself. Whenever I do that, it feels a bit of a waste of a nice kit & that it would be nice if I could give the kit to somebody who likes it but couldn't fit into their budget. I couldn't figure out how though until now. With this, I can donate & someone can get the benefit of the kit.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I DO actually have a few readers to make this work!

- Drop me a line in the Comments section or Chat box if you'd like the kit & say which one (Overflow with Beauty or Helping Hand) before Oct 14 Midnight EST.
- I'll do a random drawing for one winner and post the result by Oct 16.
- If you're the winner, contact me at     the3chickens at gmail dot com    with your email address
- I'll send you a Gift Certificate for the amount of the charity kit - $6.99 for Overflow with Beauty or $10 for Helping Hand. (pls really use the money for the charity kit and not other kits, please..)

I doubt I have enough readers for much response so if you like it, pls post as you should have an excellent chance to win :)

K, it's 1.30am already, gotta go to bed now! Have a great day!!

p/s I didnt have time to read the specifics of these kits & assumed it's available at least for a week. If it's not & it wont be avail by Oct 17, someone pls let me know & I'll shorten the giveaway deadline.

A lazy Sunday & some freebies

Sarah, Linda - thanks!!! It always makes my day getting a comment & knowing there are actually people visiting :D Linda, we work on Sat but not on Sun :)

Doesn't look like this will be a productive weekend at all! Got home from work on Sat at 5pm at the same time as Mac from school and basically just lazed around the whole night. Today (Sun), we'd planned to go hunting in a few malls to try to find an outfit for Mac's end-of-year school event in Nov. His team is going to dance to Abba's Dancing Queen & we're required to get him white/black pants & a long-sleeved white/black "shiny" shirt before Nov. Doesnt look like we'll be going anywhere now - Mac & I woke up at 1pm, it's now 5pm and we've all just been sitting around feeling too lazy to do anything. I havent even read more than a few newsletters & havent started on a single photo. Oh well.. there's always next weekend!

She also has a tutorial and a 50% coupon on her blog.

Wed shopping deals

Some regular Wed deals:-

Lilypad 50% Wibbit Wed
Catscrap 50% Designer's Choice

A freebie from Julia Fialho at her store (requires store checkout):

I have a terrible weakness for doodled stuff. Thought this QP is cute.

If I were doing P365, today would be one of the rare few days where I'd actually have something to write about myself. After almost exactly 4 years enjoying being a layabout, today I started working again. It's temporary, part-time (half-day but I can work full day if I wish) plus I don't get a salary, only commission. But the job offers the ideal compromise for me at this time (well, as long as I manage to earn something!) - some income without too much sacrifice of time with Mac. Wish me luck, please!! I really hope this would work out so I can delay a full-time job hopefully for another year...

Good night for now! :)

Templates Freebie

Bunch of templates from Lauren Grier's CT.

This one's a couple of weeks old but I think it's still available. Thought it was very cute & goodness knows I have plenty of photos of Mac eating / pleading for candy!

Night "all"! Tomorrow 's sort of a big day for me  :)

Shadow tute & some freebies

If you need help with your shadows, ScrapMatters blog has a "Shadow Spectacular" post, a detailed tutorial with settings.

Really like this free font from CK.

I love MyFourHens' photo actions. My photos are usually so technically sucky that they look weird whenever I use actions but that still doesn't stop me buying her actions whenever she has a major sale :) These freebies aren't new but in case anyone likes them & missed them.

Great free alpha from Holly Designs

Just saw DSA has a designer contest. Presuming most people know about it by now but I wanted to share my favourites.

Night now.. :)

Karla Dudley $1 sale & a couple of freebies

I still have no idea how to read all those visitor gadget thingies I installed just cos everyone has them but at least I did see from the traffic thingy on the blog itself that at least 5-6 people did drop by. Thank you for visiting :) I just hope that you weren't very disappointed not to see a list anymore. I actually spent a fair bit of time today browsing through my Reader and have to admit my fingers itched to start composing a list. I knew though that if I did start, it would probably never get finished. Plus there are lots of freebie list sites now & I'd just be doing a poor duplicate. At most, I'd like to just post a couple links & those would be things I think might be more obscure like stuff from a store/forum or from a designer who seldom does freebies.

I saw that Karla Dudley will be moving from The Digichick & has a $1 sale on some retiring products. Not a lot but I think they're really useful stuff, I esp like the Capture+Record kit. There's also a Retiring Section you can check out.

After 5 is celebrating their 2nd birthday with free QPs daily and giveaways.

If you make CD calendars, you might like this free template from Biograffiti at Oscraps.

Tiffany Tillman has this free icon set at CK. I really like the exclamation mark, I'm pretty sure I have tons of Mac's photos I can use it with :D Would be great with a Things You Say page.

Free Alpha from Lauraskathi at Mscraps

Just took this of Mac & Colin.

Wishing you a great weekend :) Cheers!

A bad penny :D

Anyone still out there? :) I know it's been a terribly long while since I updated, sorry for flaking out like that without any notice. I just kept procrastinating on posting & eventually, I just forgot..

After almost a year of silence, I guess it should be obvious but anyway, just in case anyone's still keeping me subscribed for freebie lists, I definitely won't be able to do it anymore, it takes too much time & while I might be able to do it for a while, I know I'll eventually flake out again cos I can't keep up. The lists themselves aren't too bad but going through hundreds of blogs daily got way too much.

I'd like to go back to my original intention for this blog - occasional posts of life updates (so people don't have to email me to check if I'm still alive :D), Mac's photos, LOs (admittedly far few & between these days!) & sharing any scrap news, freebies/sales I come across that I'm excited about.

Anyway, on to the main reason I finally remembered this blog again! I haven't been doing much freebie hunting since I stopped posting plus not so much shopping anymore. But I saw this freebie from Megan Fisher I really liked & wanted to share.

On the personal front, Mac has already started preschool since April and he's doing well there though he prefers to stay home and play cos "they don't have any real toys there" :D On the 1st day, he was perfectly fine until it was time for me to go & then the tears started and the desperate clutching at my neck, arms, legs :( My heart about broke & I waited in my car outside the school the whole afternoon just in case. That went on for 4 days and then on the 5th day, no more tears thankfully. 5 months on, he still gets the occasional separation issue when I drop him off but getting better.

About to leave for his 1st day at school.

Introductions to his classmates by the school directress. (He started late, school year begins in Jan).

Mac's also just celebrated his birthday last week, he's 5 now.

Wanted to post more birthday photos but it's past Mac's bedtime now, gotta go wrestle him to bed :)

If anyone has read this, thanks! :D & hope you have a great day/evening ahead!
