LOs, F&S AUG 10, 08

First, thanks very much to Mikkel, Grandma June (I miss our fights too :D), RoseAddict, SarahBelle, Patty, Beth, Toni, Chloe5972, Jill GF, Amy, Linda, breeoxd, Melanie, Kristine, Akizo, Cheryl, Nath, Jen, Lau, Kristin and of course Grace (ANOTHER holiday??! :D) for dropping by :) And really appreciate the comments/opinions!

A couple of you like the idea of the challenges but not too many and I think most of the people here are already experienced 'hunters' & dont need the Rewind so I wont be doing them regularly, just ocasionally as I come across any really good ones. I definitely will keep on the sales as there arent many places doing those & I'm also using it myself to keep track of the deadlines, hence the 'stickies' for the sales section :)

I'm going to *try* to keep the freebies down as well although I know that's what most people come for (I think) because since starting them, I've found there are quite a lot of blogs doing those whereas I previously only knew of Digifree & Ikea Goddess. As you're most probably on all those other lists as well, I was wondering if I'm making you waste more time in looking through yet another long and usually identical list? Because if you're anything like I was, you'll still look even though you've already dl-ed dozens of stuff just in case you find something new! :D It's quite hard though because there are really a lot of great stuff out there and even though I dont have an actual need or the space for a lot more, I find it hard to exclude some because you might have different preferences. If it's based only on my own need, you'd be in danger of only seeing blue kits, templates & QPs :D

Oh and btw, sorry I was rushing the other day to finish up the post & forgot to mention that the headache's all gone now, thanks very much for asking :) Just another of the dreaded 'monthly' headaches!

Did you guys catch the Olympics opening ceremony? I thought it was totally awesome, esp the drummers and the scroll painting! A little educational for me too :D

Mac conked out just now after waking up really early this morning which is why I have a little time now to share some LOs. (Of course this will mean a very late night tonight! :() I did these 2 a couple weeks ago with ScrapOrchard's July Mystery Mega bag. It's nicely packed with a large kit, bragbook and some CU items. Wish I had pics to use with some of the elements. I must say I always find it quite funny to see ants elements although they're so cute! We have them everywhere all the time so they're not quite something I would deliberately put in a scrap page as well - I'm already only too likely to find real ones there :D

I actually have journaling on this one but it's 'awfuller' :D than even my usual so I swapped it out for the date element in my posted version :D

This was during a dinner in Miri with Colin's brother's family for an early celebration of Mac & my birthday last year. Throughout dinner, Mac enjoyed himself with a plate of orange slice garnish :D Hmmm, I do scrap the most trivial things - a whole page of 15 photos just for this! :D But I'm pleased I got all the pics in, good bad and all (thanks much to Beth's template), it always niggles at me when I have leftover pics & I can never file the LO as completed!

A gorgeous LO - such sweet photos, beautiful colours and I just love those ribbons and scrolly/swirly thingies! Thanks so much, Mel!! :)

Katie's New Year Day by Cheryl aka Cherebus using Template 4
Lovely colours & love how she used 2 pics & the wordart is a super choice! Very beautiful work, thanks a bunch, Cheryl!! :) The layout is linked, pls leave her a comment if you can :)

F&S JULY 16, 08

Aww Sarah, how sweet of you - it's nice to know someone actually misses my posts! :)

I've got a long list today and hopefully there are at least a couple that's still new to you guys :D But first, I have a couple more LOs to show using my templates!!
Daddy & Hannah at the Park by Carolyn aka sammdc
The photos of Hannah are adorable and the colours are so pretty! I esp love the use of the white flowers! The LO's lovely, Carolyn! Thanks so much :)

Rhyan by Shawn
Love how she's rotated the template and moved things around to suit her photo and those colours are simply gorgeous! A really super match of kit to photo! I love it, Shawn!! Thanks very much :)

Before I get to the list (& I hope someone is actually reading this & hopefully respond :)), I'm wondering if there's anyone of you doing paper/hybrid scrapping who can give me some advice? A friend of mine has gone back to Canada to visit her family & I was hoping she could help me get some basic tools but I'm not sure what to get. I'd like to do some CD albums & mini accordion albums, perhaps some altered stuff as well. The only things I can think of is that cropadile (?) thingy and a tool that can cut circles and some easy-to-use adhesive. And something to hide 'bad' edges - inking thingies? What brands/models should I get & what else would I need? I'll need to tell her exactly what to find & I'm pretty much at a loss. If you could look into your stash & let me know what I should get(incl brand names), I'd really really appreciate it! Thanks!

K, I better get to the lists before everything expires!

LO to show-off & F&S Jul 1, 08

For some reason, I couldnt get into any blogs at all since yesterday, just kept getting page not found. I thought Blogspot was having problems but the Reader was still showing updates. It was weird AND so frustrating cos I had gotten everything ready & couldnt get in to post! Grrr some of them may have expired by now so it's wasted effort. I've left everything in though just in case they're still avail. It's a looong sales list, must be the US Independence Day celebs. I'm so sorry if any have expired.

I managed to get 2 LOs done! yay me :D I cheated a little though, it's a 2-pager & almost identical. Heh I used my template 3 cos I love the LOs you guys sent in so much that I want that freebie too :D By the time I was done with it though, it's pretty unrecognisable!

Nicole & Kristin, apprec your dropping in! and thanks much for the freebiesss :)
Sarah, heheh yes maybe a blinkie angel with the appropriate chickie pics will drop in here one day :D Thanks much for your kind words! Of course they aren't necessary cos I'm doing this solely for the very unselfish and noble purpose of serving my fellow freebie-kit-grabbers & buy-as-cheap-as-possiblers :D
Jill with the Greenfingers, I feel bad for you having to type that everytime but there is indeed another Jill here sometimes! How's about JillGF ?? :D
MommaByrd - Christina right? Sorry, my memory's going downhill along with the 'perkiness' :(), Thanks for saying hi! So glad to know you're here, I've missed you guys too :)
Amy, hope poor Sophia is feeling better. How's the puke-n-poo-fest going? Poor you too. btw, you lost me - what's TMI?
Grace, how's the paypal? :D My CC is on its knees begging for mercy :(
Becki, thanks for visiting. I've added you to my Reader :)

I have another LO to show off!! It's also from Angela who previously used template 3 for her granddaughter Amy. This time she used template 4 for another granddaughter, beautiful 19 mth old Laura. And it's another stunner!

Little Things by Angela Pound [credits Wild Sorbet freebie kit from Michelle Coleman]
Just look at that gorgeous photo! I love how she's coloured it & with such a soft feel. A beautiful choice of kit and wordart to perfectly complement the photo too. Thanks again, Angela!!!

More LOs to show-off, S&F June 29, 2008

Looky looky! I have 3 more gorgeous LOs to show off! woohoo! :D

Amy did 2! One using a modifcation on my template 4 & another with template 3

Joy by Amy Sumrall
Isnt it beautiful?? I love how she modified the template, the bright happy colours, the swirls & the title alpha on the photo itself!

Focused by Amy Sumrall
I love how she had her title in that little torn corner, so creative! Beautiful bright colours, love the glitter & patterned paper and of course that very cute photo. (and frankly this was the first thing I was bursting to mention - did anyone notice by any chance that it's PINK as well? :D)

LOVE em both, thankee very kindly, dear Amy dear Amy! :)
(images are linked to her gallery so pls leave her a comment if you can :))

I received this oh-so-gorgeous LO from Angela as well using template 3!

Journey by Angela Pound
(credits: Irene Alexeeva's Balinese Blues blog freebie, wordart by Lisa Carter and the fill for the doodles & butterflies are papers from Michelle Coleman's Wild Sorbet freebie)

Angela says that beautiful girl is her granddaughter Amy. The photos are so lovely and I love the tilted alpha/title & wordstrips. The beaded circles around the photos looks wonderful & the kit she used is just perfect & so gorgeous! Love it, thanks very much, Angela!!

I'm totally in ecstatics at all the beautiful LOs I've received!! :) Can you picture my grin everytime I see them? :D Once I get a bit more free time, I'll be setting up a slideshow to display them all!

Ginger, thanks very much for linking me :) Re your suggestion, I'm not really a blinkie person but it's funny how I was just thinking about it a couple of days ago! The blinkie I'd pictured is sorta like this -
Frame 1 :- (fade in) a cute (no, make that gorgeous!) hen & a handsome rooster standing together with a flashing big red heart behind them (fade out)
Frame 2 :- the hen coming in from the left in bridal gown & veil carrying flowers, the rooster coming in from the right in wedding jacket (fade out)
Frame 3 :- (fade in) the hen sitting on an egg with the rooster behind her (fade out)
Frame 4 :- (fade in) the hen (no longer quite as gorgeous), rooster (still as handsome) & a very cute lil chick running around (fade out)
Frame 5 :- my blog address
I doubt I'd be able to create what I pictured though so it'll only blink in my imagination :D When you guys visit, perhaps you can imagine it flashing away too :)
