A bad penny :D

Anyone still out there? :) I know it's been a terribly long while since I updated, sorry for flaking out like that without any notice. I just kept procrastinating on posting & eventually, I just forgot..

After almost a year of silence, I guess it should be obvious but anyway, just in case anyone's still keeping me subscribed for freebie lists, I definitely won't be able to do it anymore, it takes too much time & while I might be able to do it for a while, I know I'll eventually flake out again cos I can't keep up. The lists themselves aren't too bad but going through hundreds of blogs daily got way too much.

I'd like to go back to my original intention for this blog - occasional posts of life updates (so people don't have to email me to check if I'm still alive :D), Mac's photos, LOs (admittedly far few & between these days!) & sharing any scrap news, freebies/sales I come across that I'm excited about.

Anyway, on to the main reason I finally remembered this blog again! I haven't been doing much freebie hunting since I stopped posting plus not so much shopping anymore. But I saw this freebie from Megan Fisher I really liked & wanted to share.



On the personal front, Mac has already started preschool since April and he's doing well there though he prefers to stay home and play cos "they don't have any real toys there" :D On the 1st day, he was perfectly fine until it was time for me to go & then the tears started and the desperate clutching at my neck, arms, legs :( My heart about broke & I waited in my car outside the school the whole afternoon just in case. That went on for 4 days and then on the 5th day, no more tears thankfully. 5 months on, he still gets the occasional separation issue when I drop him off but getting better.

Mac's also just celebrated his birthday last week, he's 5 now.



Wanted to post more birthday photos but it's past Mac's bedtime now, gotta go wrestle him to bed :)

Karen & Iamb, thanks! Iamb, yes, I'd really love more pics of us as a family. I try to take some of us a few times a year via tripod & timer but what I'd really love are everyday candids. This is pretty much the best I can do, one of our long-arm photos.

Mac drew some symbols & asked us to cellotape it to our foreheads. The "medals" make us Transformers. He's a good Transformer, mama & papa are Decepticons (bad Transformers)! The photo is really bad but I love pics like this :)

Still havent managed to catch up all the blogs. I got side-tracked as usual. First, I just remembered that I'd done 2 LOs for my CT last month which I wanted to post here & when I went looking for the links from my gallery, I was horrified to realise that I HADN'T uploaded them at all. This was just before my trip home & I'd rushed to get them done on time but I must've been distracted while uploading & it never got done. And here I had been patting myself on the back for finally getting them up on time! Anyway, I quickly uploaded them before I forget again. I suck!

Following that (actually during that too!) was the usual distraction, Mac :) He made a 'remote control' from his magnetic blocks & asked me to play. I *think* we're enacting an imaginary video game, me on the controller & him manipulating the 'fighters' Megatron & Bumblebee. That game took a little while :) I think Bumblebee won but it's hard to tell. Mac's games are a little like dreams - you start doing one thing in one place & then suddenly you're doing something else somewhere else :D


Sigh, I have a messy child! I used to tidy up a few times a day, now I leave it till the end of the day & sometimes even 2 days. He would clean up when asked but since his idea of cleaning up is picking up ONE item & then go back to play again & then pick up another item when asked again, repeat ad-nauseum, I've given up.


It's hard to get too mad with him though when I get moments like this.
"Mama, look! I'm Megatron. But I'm not the bad Megatron. I'm a good Megatron. I'm a love-er, kiss-er, hug-er, sayang-er Megatron" [punctuating each description with action :D)

btw, for those who don't know, Megatron & Bumblebee are Transformers. And Mac's obviously crazy about them :D

I'd wanted to post more of Mac's birthday pics but dont have the time now to sort through them, only have 1 & also these of his previous birthdays.

1st birthday. Back in our hometown with all the extended family. Mac's bald :D He just got his first haircut that afternoon in the salon & we had it all shaved off.

2nd birthday. Early celebration in Miri with Colin's brother's family.

Also 2nd birthday. A simple dinner with just us & friend Gill on the actual day.

3rd birthday. Dinner with a bunch of our friends.
